Deep in the heart of texas

The Deep In The Heart of Texas series began with doodles on sticky notes while I was starting a new job. Whenever I needed to write something down to remember I would doodle on a sticky note, fold it up, and keep it in my pocket for later. As I amounted a lot of sticky notes, I realized that the doodles were quite cute. I started to do larger doodles. I called it, “Nonsense”.

From there I refined the drawings and created a set of 5 scalable shapes that can be assorted in up to 9 different colors.

I felt like the warm round nature of the designs carried the same warmth as the classic phrase “Deep In The Heart of Texas". I didn’t want that to be the main focal point though so I made it small enough to where you may not notice it.

I have many friends who have left Texas and will always have a small piece of it with them!
